Texture and Colour: an evocation of

lived experiences of the landscape

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Texture and Colour: an evocation of lived experiences of the landscape is an exhibition providing our Ipswich community with an opportunity to view and respond to textile and sculptural artworks that examine how we construct memories of the landscape. The artworks are all based on my own memories of different and varied landscapes I have lived and travelled within Australia.

These pieces are intended to stimulate your own memories, evoking the experiences that tie you to the lands you traverse. You are invited to think about the colours, the textures, the combinations of these with the titles – all hinting at an experience. Artist statements are purposely missing, leaving the interpretation of works entirely up to you based on the information you have been provided by the works and their titles.
