Ceramic sculptural artwork in my signature encrusted style that blends functional vessel forms with texture and glaze choices that harness the Australian landscape.

Eucalypt stream communicates memories of eucalyptus leaves colouring stream waters with their rust dye. Drawing on a classical spherical base, surface texture provides a landscape for the glaze to swirl and break, revealing the eucalyptus green and tan rust of the selected glaze. Reminiscent of warm evenings walking by the creek, the scent of eucalyptus emanating from sun warmed grey-green leaves, the vessel draws on abstraction of colour and texture to trigger memories of place.
This work was an experimental work made in 2024 whilst I was developing the aesthetics and techniques for my 2025 Anthology of Memory exhibition works.
Please note that these ceramic items are hand made on a potter's wheel and are organic in nature. These pieces are dishwasher safe, however handwashing is recommended to prolong their life. One of a kind sculptural artwork not intended for functional use. ***this work contains a superficial flaw in the base that does not affect its aesthetics***.
