Unwriting Landscape IX utilises the porcelain as the canvas for an elusory green glaze that captures the essence of the eucalypts etched into the narrative band of the form. Kissed with hints of rust from the reduction fire, the glaze allegorises the fallibility of memory – fleeting, impermanent and impressionable – with the softness of the etched imagery, shadows of a memory of symbolic of experience.
Please note that these ceramic items are hand made on a potter's wheel and are organic in nature. These pieces are dishwasher safe however, handwashing is recommended to prolong their life. One of a kind artwork not intended for functional use.
